Exercise to help control your blood pressure and blood sugar

You have been told to exercise more, but not exactly what, how hard or how often. We build a programme that fits your health, your medication and your routine.

Registered exercise professional in Spain (licence no. 70373), with a degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences.

See how it works

Who it is for

For people who want exercise to be part of the treatment plan

Exercise works alongside your medication and your doctor's advice, not instead of them.

High blood pressure

Diagnosed hypertension, or readings that keep creeping up.

Type 2 diabetes or prediabetes

Blood glucose control, weight and energy through the day.

Several conditions at once

Blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol and excess weight often come together.

Taking medication

Blood pressure tablets, insulin or other glucose-lowering drugs that affect how you respond to exercise.

How it works

A programme that takes your medication into account

Some medications change heart rate response or the risk of low blood sugar. The plan accounts for that.

01

Health information

Readings, latest blood tests, medication and anything your doctor has advised.
02

Functional assessment

A professional assessment of your current capacity and how your body responds to effort.
03

Your programme

Aerobic and strength training with clear targets for intensity and frequency.
04

Follow-up

Adjustments as your readings, fitness and medication change.

Scientific evidence

What the evidence says

A large meta-analysis of randomised trials found that regular aerobic training lowers blood pressure, with larger reductions in people who already have hypertension. Strength and isometric training also showed reductions.

The American Diabetes Association recommends at least 150 minutes a week of moderate-to-vigorous aerobic activity spread over at least three days, with no more than two consecutive days without activity, plus two to three strength sessions a week, and breaking up long periods of sitting.

Exercise does not replace medication. Any change to your treatment is decided by your doctor.

The result

Know exactly what to do, how hard and how often.

A plan you can follow week after week, not a vague recommendation.

  • ✓ Clear weekly targets for aerobic and strength work.
  • ✓ Intensity adjusted to your medication and readings.
  • ✓ Guidance on what to watch before, during and after exercise.
  • ✓ Regular reviews as your health and fitness improve.

Professional boundaries

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can exercise lower my blood pressure?+

Regular aerobic training lowers blood pressure on average, with larger reductions in people who have hypertension. It works alongside your medication, not instead of it.

Is it safe to exercise if I take insulin or other diabetes medication?+

Usually yes, with planning. Some medications increase the risk of low blood sugar during or after exercise, so timing, intensity and checks are planned with that in mind and in line with your doctor's advice.

Is strength training safe with high blood pressure?+

In most cases, yes, with the right load and technique. Avoiding breath-holding and choosing appropriate weights matters. If your blood pressure is not controlled, we wait for medical clearance before starting.

Do you replace my doctor's advice?+

No. Miofase does not diagnose or change medical treatment. Exercise is planned around the information and recommendations from your medical team.

Are sessions in English?+

Yes, sessions can be run in English or Spanish. For the first contact, the form is the quickest way to reach us: tell us what you need and we will reply in English.

How much does it cost?+

Fees depend on where the sessions take place, how many you need and the type of programme. Tell us your situation and we will send you a tailored quote.
